With mandates from municipalities to manage storm run water runoff, permeable paving products are designed to accommodate a wide variety of storm water management objectives by reducing water runoff up to 100% depending on project design parameters. When installed per recommendations, this paver allows for water to penetrate back into our environment and control water runoff. It also maximizes ground water  recharge and/or storage, reduces nonpoint source pollutants by mitigating impact on surrounding surface waters, lessens or eliminates downstream flooding and stream bank erosion, as well as allowing for better land-use planning with more efficient use of available land for greater economic value, especially in high-density, urban areas.
